Is God Kind

by: W.R. Williams

The Hebrew God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, is a kind, loving and a just God. There is no such thing as coincidence. Coincidence is just God's way of remaining anonymous. Total understanding of his ways is beyond our mortal comprehension. God tells us in Isaiah 55:8 that "My thoughts are not your thoughts nor are your ways My ways.” .We must trust Him and allow our faith to be strengthened as we negotiate the pitfalls of this sinful world. We must walk by faith not by sight. We see what is directly in our paths, He sees the entire path. Romans 8:28 tells us that "all things work together for good to those that love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." The mistake we often make is to define "good" by our standards. "Good" is defined by God's omniscience.

Please allow me to conclude this treatise by quoting my favorite scripture, praying that you can draw comfort from 2 Corinthians 4;16-18, “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
