Anatomy Of Tongue In Cheek by Relient K
I bought Relient K Anatomy Of Tongue In Cheek when I was starting my search for good Christian music a couple of years ago. I had read some good reviews for Anatomy Of Tongue In Cheek and thought that I would give it a try. This CD hasn’t become one of my favorites but it isn't too bad and my kids like it. Relient K has a lively pop/rock style that keeps moving. Many of the song lyrics are pretty funny while others are more meaningful with a good message. If I had to pick a favorite song it would probably be Those Words Are Not Enough. This song is one of the more serious songs with a good message and good music. My kids, on the other hand, like Sadie Hawkins Dance. From the reviews that I have read, Sadie Hawkins Dance was a favorite in most of them. Maybe I’m getting too old for this stuff. One moment a song is about something goofy like thunder cats while other songs are real serious. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out but it seems to play well with our younger folks. It seems to me that the younger you are the more you will like Relient K. For those who grew up in the 70’s and 80’s, they may not be what you are looking for but it still stays in my collection and gets played some.(Especially when my kids are in the truck.) You won’t fall asleep listening to it. Song Titles on Anatomy Of Tongue In Cheek include the following: Kick Off Pressing On Sadie Hawkins Dance Down in Flames Maybe It’s Maybeline Breakdown Those Words Are Not Enough For The Moments I Feel Faint Lion Wilson I’m Lion-O What Have You Been Doing Lately? May The Horse Be With You My Way Or The Highway Breakfast At Timpani’s The Rest Is Up To You Failure To Excommunicate Less Is More
