Your Best Life Now – 7 Steps To Living At Your Full Potential by Joel Osteen
My wife bought this book for me as a Valentines gift. I thought that it would be a good book to help me sort out my own priorities and direction in life. The title seemed to be just what I needed. After reading the book, I realized that this book would be good reading for anyone. Joel Osteen touches on just about all facets of living Your Best Life Now in a universal sort of way. I think that whatever your circumstances are in life right now, you will find this book helpful.
The beginning of the book starts on a large positive note as it tries to get you to think big. Did God put us here to just make it by or did He put us here to do big things for Him and through Him?
Although the book is not riveting nor is it a step-by-step guidebook it will make you examine how you are witnessing to others through your everyday life and how you are using what God has given you.
One of my favorite quotes is “You can’t have a victim mentality and expect to live in victory.” I think that too many people today are constantly blaming their problems on others and expecting someone else to make everything better. I do not think that it is possible to rise out of the mire with this attitude.
Overall I would recommend this book. At the very least it is good check-up as to what kind of example we are we to those around us and it just may inspire you on to bigger and better things for God.
